Sage v4 and Mediacenter problem

I have setup Sage4 and pointed mediacenter to folders on my network that contain videos and music. I cannot play any of these and Mediacenter doesnt even see the files that are there (mp3, divx). It as if its not even pointing to the right folder although I have checked this many times. Am I doing something wrong? I notice something about "Import". Do I have to import these files to the box that Sage is running on? If so how do I do this? Thanks

Music...Sage4 doesnt show any of my MP3's

Hi..I can't get Sage4 to show any of my MP3's. I have my MP3's located on 1 of my network drives. I have setup Mediacenter to point to that drive in the Mediacenter Import Directories section of the configuration, but when I open Music in Mediacenter it shows nothing. What step am I missing here? Thanks

I have the same problem

I am having the same problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I find this feature is more important as of late, since I find myself watching more IPTV than cableTV.

Are you running Sage as a service? If so, you must use UNC and not mapped drives. Also, make sure the account you are running the Sage service as has access to the UNC path.

I think you should make sure you have a UNC path defined (\\server\share\) and that the user running the sage service has access to read that dir. After that, the only thing to do is 'refresh imported media'.

Just so I'm clear on this, Sage doesn't actually import the media on networked drives to a local hard drive does it?

I'm trying to get the media drives mapped on my file server and I haven't had any luck. I'm not sure what the UNC means...I have mapped the drives in "My COmputer". That works in Media Portal and I am completely new to SageTV (just purchased Sage4 yesterday)

I believe the manual has a section covering this. I don't have it in front of me to give the page number right now.
