Well. I just purchased a fusion 5 lite myself. When trying to add the card as a tuner to SageTV(the most recent version) i select the transport stream version. Afterwhich it gives me the option of "Digital TV Tuner." I select it and it says "Loading Preview. Please Wait..." but nothing happens.. Whats going on?? Need help!

This card works fine within Dvico's software BTW.

Edit: I also tried uninstalling the drivers and sagetv, restarting, reinstalling everything, restarting. Still get the same result.

Edit#2: Even I bypass that part and get to the program guide. It won't download the xmltv guide. It just sits there too.

Edit#3: I got it to work! Nevermind =D

The preview has never worked for me. I just let it sit for a couple of seconds, then click continue. Once your done, the cards will work fine. 500 and Fusion5 were both this way.

Has anyone successfully remapped channels that are allocated to the Fusion5? When I did so channel change seemed to stop working

Channel mapping is not what it seems to be. I tried to have my channel numbers show up as logically organized numbers in my guide for HD, at it didn't work. I then read somewhere that the channel mapping is only for mapping channels to working frequencies. eg. I tried to move PBS channel 27 to 100 to get it out of my cable lineup.. But no dice.

Tried a fresh install. The analog tuner still doesn't work, but worked with the preview window the first time!

visionTV, yes I did get this working a while back. My issue was related to using a beta driver from Divico. When I went backto the released version (3.11) I was not properly uninstalling the beta version. If you have done the same make sure you select uninstall driver from Divico's installer before re-installing 3.11.

If this is not your issue then I recommend you do the same steps as being discussed in this thread....that is do a fresh MCE install, go to MCE2005 rollup1, disable the three MCE process (don't run MCE config), fresh install of Divico's 3.11, and then install Sage4. I also went this route once and it worked for me....I have been very happy with the Fushion5 Gold and Sage ever since...

Hope this helps?

Two questions:

1. Has anyone tried Divico's 3.2 official software release (running on Sage4 and Fusion5 Gold card)?

2. Does anyone have Fusion5 Gold running under Sage 4.1? According to Sage4.1's release notes it indicates 'Significant improvements to HDTV playback & recording'. Before I take this leap of faith I would like to know if others have had any problems.

I have the Fusion5HDTVLite (believe it's the gold card with the analog input removed) and HDTV works perfectly aside from my channel mapping question above...as long as I use the nvidia purevideo decoders. I don't think I actually meet Sage's min specs for HD with their decoders.

So....i broke something and was forced to roll back to an earlier clean install of my system. When I install the fusion drivers I am not getting a Transport stream device anymore. I've tried multiple versions of drivers...always doing the uninstall of drivers first and also going back so far as to rollback to a version of my system that had no drivers at all on it and doing fresh install of hd card there.

Is anyone getting this to work reliably with the WDM tuner? Should 'FusionHDTV Transport Stream' be able to be found in the device manager? Or is it particular to SageTV finding it on it's own?

No, in fact I am trying to set that up to. I would like to use the analog tuning function until I am ready for hdtv OTA or until there is suport for QAM. As of now, I either get errors in SageTV or "no signal" with the FusionHDTV 5 Gold.

I'm running into the same issue, not getting the transport stream option inside of SageTV. My only option is the WDM one.

I downloaded the latest 3.3 software from the web site (never installed what was on the CD), and am using a FusionHDTV 5 Lite.

I believe I'm using 4.1.6 of SageTV.

Any ideas on how to get the TS option when setting up the tuner in Sage? I could care less about analog, I just want the HD signals from this tuner.

Well, I had it setup as the WDM capture device, with digital tuner, and took a look inside of the SageTV Videos directory, after I started a show on live TV. It created a 0kb .mpg file, so I know this isn't right now.

However, the only options I get for adding a new tuner, are the Fusion WDM Capture, and the two tuners from the PVR-500.

I uninstalled the DVICO software via add/remove programs, then launched the DVICO software again, clicked on uninstall drivers, then installed them again. After rebooting, I went through the 5 "new hardware detected" setup, and everything seemed to go as it shows in the manual. Not sure why I wouldn't be getting the TS option.

Do I have to enable something in SageTV to even get that option?

If I uninstall SageTV, will my properties files be left alone, or should I copy those? Any thing else I should keep a copy of when uninstalling?

This is frustrating, but I'm used to everything I do, taking about 2-3 times longer than what normal people experience...

I've also been struggling with getting the TS drivers available in SageTV. Never have had them available.

Question: What am I loosing exactly by not having them working?

I have a DVico FusionHDTV 5 GOLD RT running under WinXP MCE 2005 with Rollup Update2. I've been able to get SageTV v5.0.4 working with this card after re-installing both the Dvico drivers and SageTV, then disabling the MCE services in the Windows Services panel(wouldn't work otherwise).

My last hurdle seems to be the TS drivers, if they're even an option at this point.

The TS option, from what I know, was the old way of doing things. I do not believe mine shows up as a TS option. I am pretty sure it's still a TS file, but it's in an mpg "wrapper," so they say. If you can capture HD with the card, then it's working like it should. My problem was, I wasn't able to capture HD for the longest time, and it ended up being some problem that Qian fixed over a couple weeks time, and a bunch of log files.

You just have to make sure that the 3 MCE services are not running, if you are trying to run SageTV, and it's been my experience, that any time you do an MCE roll-up, you have to go disable those services again...
