Never Set Watched

Is there a way to keep Sage from marking a show as watched? I found the clearwatched flag in the properties, but I don't want to have to manually set the flag periodically.

I was thinking I could write a program to set the clearwatched flag and run it at login. But by the time my program runs the service will already be running. Is there a way to run my program run before the service starts? Or would it be ok (and would it work) to modify the properties flag after the service has started but before I run Sage?

AFAIK Sage doesn't ever set a program as Watched unless you manually tell it to.

Actually what I'd really like to do is tell Sage to record shows whether they've been watched or not. I'd like to specify that behavior when setting up a Re-Run Favorite. Then I can see the watched flag and the italicized text, which I like most of the time, but still have the shows recorded again when they come up.

I suppose I'll just have to do it myself. At least now I can with the Studio release!

Not really. The core is what does the scheduling, not the STV. You could set up some code to always clear the flag for any show that is Watched, but you can't tell the core to record Watched shows unless you create Manual Recordings.

You can also use the Past Airings group or Advanced fav options to clear the Watched status of many shows at once. For Past Airings: Look for Additonal Airings or do a search, then while the Past Airings group is highlighted, use the Watch command & choose to Clear all Watched.
