If you have two PVR-500's working in one machine, please list your configuration here. Also tell us what problems you had installing them and what you did to get them working.

Asus A8N-SLI deluxe
6600GT PCI-e
2x PVR-500
1x PVR-250
1x PVR-USB2

Had no issues installing just used the drivers that came with the 500 cd for all tuners.

I have 2-PVR500 and 1 PVR350 in the same box. The drivers loaded fine the first time for all the cards. I also have two digital cable boxes with a USB-UIRT. One digital box is connected to a 500 useing the svideo connection and the other is connected to the 350. I just have analog cable connected to the other 500 and an analog connection on the 500 with the digital box connection. Like this:

PVR500 - 1 svideo(DigCable), 1 analog cable
PVR500 - 1 analog cable
PVR350 - svideo(DigCable)

The only issues I had were:

1. Getting the svideo and anlalog to work on the 500. It took some fiddleing around to get the svideo connection to "activate" and show video. Just kept getting a black screen. Probably something I was doing or not doing to cause that issue. I used the Hauppauge tools to get it working and then it worked fine in Sage and has ever since.

2. Setting up the digital boxes to use the UIRT zones and change the channels. If you use analog cable only it is not an issue.

3. The biggest problem I had and still do is determining which 500 was connected to svideo and which had analog only. There no way to tell within Sage or the properties file which one is which. Just took some trial and error to get it working. Additionally, I had to get a 500 replaced cause one of the tuners was bad (Don't get me started on how I had to determine that mess) When I removed the 500, the Sage encoders changed so what had been defined as svideo was no longer in the right place. I had to go through the process of determining which was which again. Had to do the same thing when putting in the new replacement. Everything got shifted around again. Not sure how Sage assigns the physical card to a Sage encoding device but it takes some experimentation. I had to unplug cables and start multiple recording to determine which Sage endoder was which. Took some time but works great now.

I don't know what I would do if I couldn't have to 500's in the box

I got two PVR-500s working in the same computer without any problems. Installed the 2nd one just like I did the first one: install in PCI slot, boot into Windows, on the "new hardware found" wizard I browsed to the location where I extracted the latest drivers from www.shspvr.com and it worked fine. Look at my signature for the configuration of my server.

2 PVR-500's
AOpen AX4C Max II Mobo
P4-2.8Ghz
1Gig Ram (2700?)
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
2- 250Gb Sata Drives

Straight Analog ComCast Cable into both PVR-500's

Running Sage 3.0.11 (haven't had time to try the latest Beta's), Stock STV, 7 day lookahead, IR

Running the SageMVP Client on same machine.

Absolutely no troubles getting it setup.

Server has 2 PVR500, down to 1 PVR250 from four. (Asus A7N8X-E Dlx mb) No problems installing, very straighforward "by the book". Install card, Win drivers, config each tuner in Sage. (Drivers that came on PVR500 CD worked fine.) I installed the PVR500 one at a time pulling an existing PVR250 or 2 in the process. The 2 PVR500s installed about 2 months apart. They be jammin'.

Server:
Gigabyte GA6-BXC Motherboard
(2) 500's
D-Link NIC
Promise ATA 100 controller

The only problem I had was getting the cards physically installed in the case (the things are huge). All I had to do was install the drivers that came with the cards and everything worked flawlessly on the first try.

I have used 3 PVR-500s for a while now with no problems.

I have these in the server which feeds two client machines.

The server computer has a GB-K8NXP-SLI MotherBoard, 2 GB of Memory, and a 4000 AMD 939 processor.

The clients have a GB-A8N-SLI MotherBoard, 1 GB of memory, an EVGA 7800 GTX video card, and a 3500 AMD processor.

I also have 3 PVR-500's. They work fine, no issues at all, and yes I have had all 6 going at once and watching another previously recorded show. Two 200 GB hard drives, each on their own IDE channel (separate IDE card to do this). Installed all 3 PVR-500's at the same time, worked immediately.
