Low Audio with version 1.4.8

I am experiencing low audio with version 1.4.8 while watching live TV or playing back a recorded program. Seems to work fine with version 1.3.x.

The same audio quality is fine if I run the recorded mpeg file using media player or the ATI player.

Is this a known problem?

Low Audio with version 1.4.8

It is version 1.4.7 and not version 1.4.8.

BTW, I just transferred the mpg file over to another machine and played it thru media player. The volume was quite low. So it looks like the recording volume itself is low.

There's another thread on this forum that covers the volume issue. Do a search and you should find it and the fix.

BTW I reinstalled the audio driver and that fixed part of the problem. Basically the volume was reasonable after that. I then made that registry fix and restarted Sage and that was even better.

Is there a chance we can see that registry fix as part of the setup?

Be careful, if you burn DVDs from what you record you may find that they are TO DARN LOUD. I had my registry setting so that I had the volume maxed in order to better match my normal TV broadcasts. When I made a DVD from a recording I found that there was clipping in the audio due to excessive volume (and I had to turn the TV way down).
