Video Card Settings
I have an ATI X800 Pro w/ Catylist 5.9, what settings should HTPC's be running as far as the video/ deinterlacing goes. Do I want the Codecs or the card to do it? I assume AA and AI settings are for games only?
Thanks, P |

I have noticed that the last several Cat 5.x drivers have had a deinterlace settings in it. THey might have always been there, but I don't think so. These seem to affect the playing of my videos. What I don't get is... if that is the case whats the deal with say my Nvidia Decoder? Is it being used to deinterlace as well? Or what should I set the CAT stuff too now?
Any ideas? --Mike

That is what I would think to P, but I get combing now if I set the CAT drivers to weave no deinterlace. Something just doesn't seem right with that. Its almost like its doing whatever the CATs say and not what the Nvidia settings are.
