AC3 S/PDIF Probs?
...If so, this may help.
(I did a search and nothing definitive came up...if this is documented somewhere, forgive me).
Just installed the latest Beta and wasn't getting "Dolby Digital" on my Logitech 680's with Sage/NVIDIA, but *was* with WinDVD7. It seems Sage installs AC3 Filter by default. The default option in the decoder is "Prefer AC3 Filter" (merit) and without configuring, it's in 2 channel mode. You can configure it through either WMP10>DVD>Advanced, or with Radlight Filter manager. Since I have the NVIDIA Decoders, I disabled AC3 Filter and am getting DD 5.1 with those. Also, if you have stuttering audio, enable 24bit decoding in the NVIDIA Audio options. It worked for me. The beta looks good...seemed to have a problem with FSE, but I didn't investigate further. Fusion5 was detected no problem. Added ATI Rage Theatre to mmc_ignore after a startup problem.
