GF6600 vs 9600XT

I currently have Abit R9600XT and am not happy with the PQ, not sharp, colors look washed out, can easily tell the difference between live TV and output from computer. I'm using s-video to PALB analog tv. I've tried different settings and decoders without getting any good results.

What I wanted to find out is if 6600 (or 6600GT) will give me much better PQ (would have to be AGP, I don't have PCIe)? Did anyone have a chance to compare the picture quality using both cards? If yes, does it make difference who the manufacturer is? Thanks in advance.

Or otherwise if any of the graphics cards pq cannot compare with tvout of 350 what are the other alternatives i.e. xcard, mvp (can't play dvd's) etc?

If your colors look washed out then you need to do capture card or video card calibration. A new video card will not help. Sharpness is not going to be too good for video content over svideo due to deinterlacing. For SDTV an XCard or MVP is the best option.
