Request for Customization -- Allow Screen Saver if video not fullscreen
All,
I haven't found a way to do this, but with my CRT based HDTV, I'm really worried about burn-in if I leave Sage in a menu with the small TV window in the upper right. Is there a way to set this up? If not, can someone make a customization. FYI, I'm using Cayars 17. Thanks, dougrob |

If the TV playback is paused, it will go into screen saver... If it is not paused, then you are watching TV, and screen saver is disabled for obvious reasons...

but if you are playing video, then it seems like you would at least hear it so you would realize you need to turn it off, no? |

For plasma displays I can understand the concern. But for rear projection, LCD, or CRT TV's this is not really an issue any more.
You would have to leave a CRT TV on that screens for DAYS at a time to even have a chance for burn in. I have one CRT at work that stays on the same screen pretty much 24/7, and it took MONTHS to get noticeable burn-in. And even now after 3 yeas it isn't really that bad. CRTs are just a lot less susceptible than they used to be. On a rear projection it takes many, many hours as well these days. (LCD are almost immune to it depending on top layer coating - if any) Jason |
