Dual PVR350 Problem

Hi,

I've just tried to install a second PVR350 into my Sage server and found that the system refuses to load in to windows, it get stuck loading drivers and says a pice of hardware in the system is not functioning. If I disable the card all is okay. I have checked the cards seperatly and they work 100% okay.

Has any one come accross this problem before?

What version of the drivers are you running? IF you haven't already updated them, you may want to fetch the beta drivers from SHSPVR (from here ).

Hi, I'm using driver version 1.17.110.21062, I'm just downloading the current ones to see if that works.

Thanks

That didn't seem to work, now running version 1.17.270.21176 and the system still seems to jam on Driver load.

I am running two PVR-250s and have been having a heck of a time getting my PVR-350 to "play nice" in the system. Maybe the PVR-350 doesn't like working with another PVR-X50 in the system? I have sent an email to Hauppauge's support line and you may want to do the same.

FWIW, when I add the 350 into my system I get really poor video (MPEG1 quality and an odd display size). Removing the 350 solved my problems. I really hope that this isn't a problem with the PVR-350s.

Thanks for the info, I'm trying a rebuild to see if my drivers where 'tainted'. If that does not work I'll email support, and I really hope that two cards can work in the same system as I've kinda based my server around 3 cards that I've already purchased!

Same here. I wanted to have my two PVR-250s for my primary recorders and the PVR-350 for overflow recording and playback (when the OSD becomes available for the S-Video out on the 350). I really don't want to invest in another 250 just now, but that $99 offer from Circuit City is mighty tempting

I think I should have gone for the PVR250 in the start, sounds like they work together straight away!

Well I've been told by Hauppauge support that it is not possible to have 2x PVR350's in one system, I am checking wether it is possible to have 2x PVR250's in one system. If people do have this setup can you tell me how you did it?

Thanks.

I am currently running two PVR-250s and have a third on order. If it has the -16 version of the encoder chip I'll be able to tell you if they play together. I remember hearing that you can have up to 4 PVR-250s but don't know for sure.
