Padding won't re-adjust

I have set padding up on nearly all 50 favorites. Now that I am using 3.0 and I have gotten the time difference correct, I needed to set it back to 0. Some shows (even though they have been set back to 0) continue to start 5 minutes early.

Is there any way to go in and manually set them in the text file? Something is preventing the changes from taking effect.

Man THIS SUCKS!

There is nothing I can do to take the padding back to 0. The settings simply do not hold. Now on 3.0.5 and nothing works. Anyone else ever had this problem?

Are you on the Favorite Details menu of the unadulterated standard v3 STV, or were any imports added to it? Are you trying to modify things on some other screen?

Did you modify the Favorite's settings, but the schedule is recording Manual Recordings? MRs override Fav settings.

I do have Neilm's default padding module loaded but then it's set to 0 also. The ones I am having trouble with are just favorites, no MRs.

my default padding should not affect modification of existing favorites, only creating new ones...

No, it shouldn't, but for testing purposes I would suggest that the original v3 STV be used (as is stated in the V3 Imports thread). If it still doesn't work properly there, then a bug report could be submitted. I don't know what else to say about a fav's padding not being changed, because I can't reproduce it so far.

Oh yeah -- also try creating & modifying a new fav, not just the existing ones.

I can't get the padding to go away even JUST using the v3 STV. Oh well, I'll just live with it for now. Once the full release has been out for a couple of weeks, I'll re-install from scratch, redo all my preferences, put in all my favorites again, and re-import the modules. Till then that's really the longer way arround.

I just saw your latest post about this here. Have you filed a bug report about this? If not, waiting for it to get fixed won't do much good.

The recordings start 5 minutes early, not late?

Does the favorite show any padding on the Favorite Details screen?

Can you reproduce it with a new favorite that you add now using the default STV w/o any imports, as I suggested above?

I was not able to reproduce this when I looked into it earlier. If you can reproduce it, a bug report with complete details about all the settings for a specific favorite where you are having this problem could be useful in determining what is going on.

Does anyone else have a problem with such favorite padding?

No, I have not filed a bug report because as you mentioned, it is not the fault of SAGETV but rather something that an add-on created at some point when it modified the default padding to my specified criteria. What I was suggesting was an additional feature of the Webserver for managing favorites in general, which is not part of SageTV either.
