ATI AIW x800 an Sage TV
After installing the Sage Software, I find the composite and svideo components in the initial setup, but not the TV tuner. Is there something I am missing? The TV runs fine off the default ATI software.

Think it's a software only card... Very very few ATI cards will work in a PVR solution and I'm almost certain none of the all in wonders. Check the system requirements (too lazy to dig up a link to it right now).

The card works with Windows MCE 2005 which means it must be not a software based encoder I believe.

I think what is really needed for these software based cards is a little "thunk" layer to fool sage into thinking it's a hardware card, emulating that function. Then we wouldn't be inundated with these questions daily because it would just work.
Then again, sage could add support for the ATI cards natively... wouldn't THAT be nice? |

No. Software encoding cards are the invention of the devil (for PVR apps)...
![]() If you want to write a network encoder, or use Anders' universal network encoder with Graphedit to get a AIW recording to mpeg2 graph to work, then good luck to you ![]()
