SageTV Service
I have been trial using the Sage TV software and love it; however while trying to solve some recording issues the "Service" no longer starts. It will not start manually or automatically. It is enabled within Sage TV.
For the first 5 days it was fine; however it now will not start. I have disabled my anti virus and anti spyware software; I have uninstalled the software and deleted the Frey directory twice. I have also re downloaded the installation file, all to no avail. Any thoughts would be appreciated; I am hoping to purchase but need this issue resolved first. cbsam-69 |

Try starting the service with the Windows service management, not in the SageTVServiceControl app -- Right click My computer; Manage; Services; SageTV -- it can sometimes give better error messages,
If you are trying to run the service as a 'real' user (for network filesystem access), configure this user in the Windows service management... This is because the user account needs extra privilages to run services. -- If you don't need Sage to access files over the network, just run the service as LocalSystem.

I don't know what you're specific config problem is, just wanted to confirm Sage does run as a Service fine for me, has for many months.
