add time to recording

I found out today that I cannot add time to a show that has begun recording. The schedual said from 9-11 but the game didnot start until 9:30 and went till 11:30.

There should be some way to add time but the menu offers nothing. Any ideas appreciated.

you cannot change the start time of a manual record after it has started,
but you can change the stop time... (Detailed Info for the show; Set Manual record if it is not already set; Record Options ; Change stop time)

If you go to the Program Information screen for the currently recording show (select "Detailed Info" in the pop-up options menu on the playback screen), then you can choose Record Options (choose "Record" first, if "Record Options" is not yet visible). In the menu that appears, select "Adjust Stop Time". Edit: Oh well, I see I typed a little too slow.

How do you get to the detailed info screen while its playing/being watched?

I hit the '*' key on the hauppaugge remote and it brings up the show info, is that what is being referred to?

To get to the options menu during playback, use the "Options" command. For the Hauppauge remote, that should be the yellow button, unless it has been customized/reassigned.

Just record the show that comes on right after in the schedule. It won't be part of the same file, but you won't miss anything.

I found that I have to be "watching now" to get the menu to come up so now I can adjust as necessary.
