Increasing EPG col/rows to accomodate a high res big screen

As you guys know, the current EPG grid is meant more for the average 17" VGA monitor since there is every little information displayed on the screen at one time.

I managed to customize the columns and row and respective font sizes to display more information. However, when I move my cursor to different cells on the grid 3D accelleration starts to flip out. I tried turning off 3d accelleration, but now the EPG is so sluggish its unusuable. What's the trick to get this working right? I'm sure I'm not the only person who has a bigger screen bigger than a 17" monitor for SageTV. Maybe someone can post their Sage.properties which works correctly or know how to fix the 3d accelleration problem.

Thanks!
-Michael

Its actually meant for your living room TV where you sit far away, and need large anti-aliased fonts to make it readable!

If you want a large EPG with small fonts, check out my webserver plugin... The epg can be up to 24hrs horizontal with, and 999 channels high, and uses a nice small font!

Thanks for your reply. I am only interested in fixing the # of columns and rows with small fonts using SageTV itself, not using a separate web browser. I can make it look GREAT by changing the settings, but as soon as I start moving the cursor to different cells the screen starts to wack out.

Anyway, I was told my SageTV support that I could do this with no problems (it was actually one of my highest priority pre-sales questions).

If 3D Acceleration isn't working properly, I would suggest looking into updating the video card driver and/or DirectX. I don't know if a java update would help, but it could be worth a try too.

3d accelleration was working properly. I forgot to mention my Windows desktop was 1920x1440. Somehow, too high of a resolution causes DX9 accelleration to act weird. It's fine with a res like 1280x1024.
