eHOME wonder drivers and BSODs
I installed an eHOME wonder w/FM into a hauppauge 350 system (xp pro, not sp1 or sp2, but several patches, dx9c) and I'm getting BSODs about once a day. The offending driver is atinewp2.sys, which is the driver for the eHOME wonder.
I've read in other threads that the "233" drivers are trouble and one should use the "200" drivers. I can't find ANY drivers for eHOME on xp at ATI's website; they're all for MCE! Furthermore, my drivers are listed as "1.17.24.223". Hm. Can anyone direct me to a place where I can d/l the better, older driver? |

I have the CD that came with mine and it had the 200 driver. I could zip it up and send it. PM me an e-mail address to use. The whole CD is 32mb.

Not much time to post, so if not exact, don't shoot me!!!
try www.totalpcparts.com, go to drivers and drill down to: video cards/ati/e-home wonder (Thanks totalpcparts!) Good luck! |

Just wanted to throw in a quick "me too". I added an ehome wonder card w/o FM, conexant chipset, to an XP Professional system with an existing PVR 150 card. The system started spontaniously rebooting up to three times a day, with the problem being the latest ATI drivers. I just dropped back to the 200 series driver, I'll post back in a week if there aren't any problems (or sooner if there are).
Also, I wanted to thank SHS for the 200 driver. Here's hoping it works Last edited by nathanwray; 06-21-2005 at 07:21 AM. Reason: thanks |

Older Driver Worked
The older driver fixed the problem, two weeks with no crash. Also to clarify, although this card is sold as "MCE only", I'm running it under Sage and WinXP Pro with no problem.

n, how'd you update that driver?
When I do computer -- properties, hardware, device manager, the ati shows up as 'ati eHOME wonder wdm capture CODEC' under 'game, video controllers'. When I right click that and do 'update driver' and specify the .200 driver, then reboot, it comes back with the .223 driver! Did you uninstall the card and then re-install it in order to use the older driver, or am I going about this the wrong way? |

installing older driver
Sorry I didnt post back sooner, I haven't checked in for a while. I went into device manager and picked the older driver and it worked no problem. I don't know for sure why you would see it not accepting the change. You're clicking "ok" all the way out before the reboot, right? You could try manually deleting the driver file for the newer version first. I didn't need to pull th ehardware or anything in my case, I just browsed manually to where I knew the older driver file was (on my desktop) and selected it.
