New Nvidia drivers 71.89
Anyone using the new Forceware 71.89 yet? Any changes or improvements?
I saw this in the release notes:

I wonder if the HDTV-Over-DVI stuff works with older cards, like my 5900? Would be nice if it had a bit better support..

71.89 is a good driver. even overlay looks pretty darn good. straight dvi to my tv works very well now.
i have a couple of other small issues but that is mostly because my pc really needs to be reloaded. |

VMR rendering sucks, its very jerky

I've not bothered looking at overlay in such a long time now - I should probably check it out again.
could someone remind me - what are the advantages/disadvantages of VMR over overlay (in a nutshell) I'm using SageMC by the way (this only uses windowed mode) if that has any relevance. |
