anyone noticing whether Sage 3 requires more horsepower (bloat) to run? I need to be careful about switching with my system and losing WAF points. I've been using the sagemc16x9 successfully so far

Hey guys, let me know how the download goes. This is a good stress test for my server, and it would be nice to know how the user-experience is.

Just PM me, no need to clutter this thread.

Thanks!

Redcoat:

For me, it runs about the same or slightly better. I dont have numbers from before, but memory says it usually took around 20% of my cpu for windowed or full screen. Version 3.0 is currently taking 10-15% for windowed mode and 15-20% on the full screen. I have an amd 3000+ xp with 1gb of ram. It probably uses a meg or two more of ram, but its not really a problem for me.

Those numbers are for sage without the original stv. Not sure about sagemc, but i will post them later if someone else doesnt beat me too it. You really might have to try it out to see if it changes any for your own setup.

Crashless: Download was fine.

MLBDude: Lost all the themes I had previously. Is there a new trick for them? Thank you for the "Unwatched". Life is really good now.

Make sure you still have the lines you need in the properties file. If it still does not work, tell me what the top button in the Theme select menu says. I had a new v3.x bug that needed to be fixed but don't remember if it is in that version.

I have the same theme problem.

under the theme selection, the top button says
">Theme (1 of 0)" MCE

my sage.properties has these lines:
ui/themes/0/image_root=Images_MC
ui/themes/0/title=MCE
ui/themes/1/image_root=Images_bt
ui/themes/1/title=BlueTwo
ui/themes/2/image_root=Images_bt_m
ui/themes/2/title=BlueTwo Blue Steel

There is also a very bad problem if you go through setting up a tuner from the settings page. It looks like all of the pages are semi transparent and stack on top of each other as you make selections. It clears back up when you return to one of the standard pages.

Fixed Themes not available.
Added Neilm IMDB search to My Videos.
Added quick jump alphabet to My Music (just keep going right).

Modified timing on animations on Main Menu.
Fixed bug with groups of Unwatched recordings.

Check the first post for download link.

Just installed your B2, and now I can't seem to get any video rendered. Sound works fine. I'm using VMR9 + FSE + Sage Decoders, when I play video, nothing on the screen (not even the UI). If I turn off FSE, I get the UI, but still no video. Tried overlay also, got a rendering error. Trying a reboot now to see if anything went screwy after I installed the STV.

Just wanted to add, switching back to the default STV does NOT fix the problem. Was watching SG-1, figured I'd install the new STV then pick up where it left off, and no video ever since .

Tried again with a fresh install of Client, got video in the setup process just fine (even with FSE), installed the B2 MCE here, and video stops (and it's opening that Active Video window in the background, remove the STV's changes, and it appears to STILL be doing it. If I remove sage client and re-install, works great again (but not with this STV).

I'm going to try B1 now and see if it had the same behavior.

Last edit for a bit: Tried B1, same problem. No video. I don't even have to switch to the STV, the default STV looses video as well.

Hi mlbdude,
Thanks for updating your STV for v.3 of SageTV - I've been using you SageMC almost from day one it came out, and WAF is so high I don't want to change it.
If I may, I have a little request -
In the recordedTV screen, sorted by title, when I select a show I get a new screen with a list of all the chapters in that show, but instead of getting list of chapers' NAMES I get the same show's name repeatting all over the list.

Can this be fixed?

Thanks!
Oren.

This maybe a stupid question but as they say "there are no stupid questions just stupid answers".

Does this version work with Sage v2?

Thanks in advance...

A very good question, but I think the answer will be no. Though I have not tried it I think the STV is now locked in v3.

I know that sucks right now, but with each release of v3 it gets more and more stable. I am putting in some much needed items too so it is a shame more people can't try them out right now.

On the next release would it be possible to add folder the the 'Movies' section of My TV? With so many movies being listed, if each movie could be listed with a folder and then the upcoming movie times/dates listed within each folder, it would make browsing the listings much easier.

Minor update, probably the last for a week or so.

7/30/2005
SageMC169 Ver 5 Beta 3
You can now save meta information for My Video files from IMDB.
You can import meta information for My Video files with DVD Profiler if it is configured as per the prior release.
TV Subgroups now default to Episode Title.
Movies sorted by Title will have duplicates grouped.

Download is in the first post.

Much thanks!

A few quibbles...

1. Grouped movies do not show descriptions until you drill down into the folder.
2. The total number of movie 'airings' is shown as opposed to the actual number of movies. (Does that make any sense at all... ) I have 2366 movies and 6051 airings of those same movies.
3. The watched indicator does not show on grouped shows.

mlbdude.

Do you have plans to include an easy way to include ShowAnalyser in your future builds? I know it's kind of in beta right now, but I see this as being the replacement for comskip in the near future. I'm planning on using it, maybe once it gets out of beta...
