can't output to tv

I am using the tv-out of my Leadtek WinFast A250 (based off of a TI-4200). I can see my desktop displayed on the tv, and when I launch Sage, I see the main menu, but when I click on livetv or recordings, it doesn't display on my tv. I just get the window frame with nothing inside. The sound works. I thought it was lack of an installed decoder, but when I go to options for video, I have like 5 decoders to choose from. I tried all of them and nothing fixed it. I downloaded a trial version of beyondTV and that displays it fine on my tv. Any ideas?

try this: close Sage. go into windows explorer and locate some meida file (a recorded mpeg will do) right click on it and see if one of the choices is "play on TV." I had to do this to sort of "wake up" the TV out on my video card, even tho I could see the desktop.

Which video renderer are you using (setup->Detailed->Video). If Overlay, then this will (normall) only work on the Primary monitor: if the TV is your secondary monitor then you will see a blank screen...

Either make the TV primary, or switch renderers to default or VMR9

Thanks, nielm! I changed the video renderer to default and I could see it on both (or by making the tv primary). Thanks for the help, off to watch tv
