Selective recording to specific tuner
I don't know if this will work so I'll ask.
Could you delete a specific channel from one cards line up, and this would force SAGE to use the other card for the recording? Example: I use the EPG for the same cable lineup, on my PVR-250 and 150MCE, and I want my 250 to record channel 8, I can disable channel 8 in the 150's channel setup. Since the channel is no longer available to the 150, it will force the recording onto the 250. right? Why? I have 2 programs I want to record the CC info for playback later, so I'm thinking of doing this. I'm hoping this wont mess up the EPG or something. As long as there aren't to many programs to record like that, this may be a viable solution to manually picking a tuner to a specific channel, if not program. Also, does slot priority have any influence on which tuner gets used at startup or by default? Thanks. Anyone try this with any success? |

I believe if you use Nielm's import plugin with EXE Tuner it will allow different tuners to have different channel lineups and still have full functionality with the EPG.
Hope this Helps. The Noose. |

Hmmm..neverthought about two EPG guides, I figured the EPG was universal to all tuners, I thought since you had to set it up when installing the second PVR card, that even though the EPG was the same as the first, the you could change what stations each card would actually tune in.
I guess when I get my remote working I will have to try this. (I have no mouse and keybaord is frustrating at best.) Thanks for the FFT! (Food for thought) |

hurdy is talking about my XMLTV EPG plugin where you can have different lineups each with their own XMLTV data source, own channel set, etc.
For the built-in EPG, changes made to the channels in the lineup affects all tuners using that lineup, so: Quote:
