2.2.4 Girder controlled remote problems
And MCE (Cyberlink) remote.
I am using the remote code defs from 2.0.19 and have the remote configured. Many of the commands don't 'work'. That I know work (I don't list the default HID-supported; i.e. volume, mute, arrows): -Numbers -Select -Chnl/pg up/down -Back -Pause -FF/RR -FF2/RR2 -Enter That I know don't work: -Home -Info -Guide -Options -Pix/Vids/Library/DVD -Live TV |

So no one else has had a problem with this? FWIW it does that with both of my 2.2.4b frontends while (naturally) native USB-UIRT is ok.

I use the USB-Uirt with the gml file I got here somewhere called 2.0.19 and all the commands work perfectly for me.
You can always double check the sendmessage setting with the command references in the Sage manual. Maybe they got messed up?? |

I haven't had to change anything since 2.0.19, and it works just like it always has. I don't use all the commands but I'm pretty sure Options and Home work fine.

Things to check:
1) Is Girder receiving the events: With Girder open, press a remote button, and check that the appropriate command is highlighted. If this is so, then it is not an remote IR code recognition problem, otherwise try re-learning the command 2) Can the correct command be sent manually: select and right-click a command in Girder (with a Sage window visible) and select 'Test command' (or F5) and see if the action is triggered in Sage. If this does not work, then there is some problem sending the event to Sage: Check the status bar of Girder for error messages; compare the 'Target' of the command with the 'targets' of commands that you know work.. |

Girder does recieve the events (using the 2.0.19 gml file) and appear to decode them properly with the MCE reciever. The latter I'll have to try. Thanks
