XMLTV file not read properly?

My EPGdata is not updating properly for some reason. I live in the netherlands, so i use XMLTV to have a livetv guide. I use Amontillado's grabber to make a listing that goes 6-7 days in advance.
As i was experimenting with grabbers in the last week, i started from scratch last week and grabbed a weeks worth of data. I placed the file (epgdata.xml) in the sagetv directory and then i added a new source. Everything went fine and a weeks worth of data was visible in the LiveTV guide. Today, LiveTv guide was still showing data uptill tuesday (8th). However, i thought i'd grab a new list for the coming week. Amontillado's program did so and i copied the new epgdata file to the sagetv dirctory (i let it overwrite the old one). I opened the livetv guide, but it still only showed guide data uptill Tuesday (8th), while my new epgdata file goes uptill the 12th. I thought sagetv might need a reboot or something, so i restarted the pc (and sagetv off course). However, upon opening the live tv guide, it still showed data uptill the 8th instead of the 12th!

What am i doing wrong here? The epgdata file runs to the 12th, so where does sagetv get the data from? Not from the epgdata.xml file?

Anyway, i deleted the source and added a new one, selecting the right channels and voila, data uptill the 12th! So, when i remove and then add a source, the data is read properly. However, i don't want to do that every week

Start Sage, goto Settings, Channel Setup,De-select and re-select one of your channels.
Now hit Done with Channel select.
That should do it.

Really? Is that a bug or something?

It only reads the epgdata.xml file once every 24hrs normally, but the enable/disable channel switch forces a re-read (yep, its a bit odd!)

OK...so if i understand correctly, and i do nothing, it should read properly today? If you want to force a read, you'll have to use Jan's approach?

Allrighty, will try that.

Thanks guys!

check setup->system info for when the next EPG update is scheduled...

If you want to to occur at a specific time (say, just after the scheduled task for generating the XML file), then perform a manual update at that time, and the next update will be 24hrs later.
