Is there a way to sync to clients

Is there a way to sync two client streams? In other words can I have one client in my living room watching the superbowl and have another client in the kitchen also watching the superbowl and have the two be in sync?

Not that I know of with Sage since it's always a playback of a recording. Don't think it's possible to have both Clients start playback exactly at the same time, exactly in sync. You could get it very close though, have two people start the two viewing sessions in unison. Might likely be a hair off true sync but if the concern is seeing what's happening while in the kitchen should suffice. Just have the audio turned down in the kitchen if it can be heard in main viewing area. If the two tubes must be in perfect sync the only way I can think of is by-pass Sage and watch true live broadcast, yuck!

That is basically what we are doing now. I thought I had read somewhere that a BTV client had the ability to connect to another client stream. Even to the point where if you changed the channel it would change it on the hijacked client as well.

I've been using SageTv for a long time and didn't think that this was possible but had to ask. Our home is very open so when the TV is on in the kitchen and on the the living room you can hear them both from either room. Easier to stay sane if they were in sync.

I don't think that's possible in BTV either.

I'm guessing but, if watching while its recording, you can keep on Forwaring until it catches up and the buffering ends. Do that to both clients and it should sync.. again, I'm not sure, but think it'll work. :P

Tried the FF option with no success. I could get close but never totally in sync.

I also went back are reviewed the BTV docs. I was looking at their FAQ at http://www.snapstream.com/Products/beyondtvlink/faq.asp. After reading it again I probably read into it a bit before and assumed two clients could sync. I no longer think that is the case. I think they just share the stream but don't necessarily sync.
