Two forum requests

First of all, I have used a few forums for my various obsessions but have not run across another community that is as intelligent, helpful and patient (when giving help that is - when asking for stuff . . . not so much).

But anyway, I thought it might be helpful to have a section for video and audio quality - filters, deintermuxalacerscalers, etc. I don't really know how to effectively search for this info because I don't have the basic vocab to even dive into this discussion. I am relatively computer savvy but video / audio dense.

Which brings me to my second request. It would be great to have a glossary of terms and abbreviations. A lot of info gets thrown around quickly in threads (as it should be) and it would be great for us newbies to have a place to go so we could better follow the discussion without derailing it with elemental questions. I know it would also cause additional frustration when people ignore it . . . but whaturyagonnado?

I think a forum dictionary is a great idea.

Amazingly enough, there is a recent FAQ on this: Is there some sort of reference for the various acronyms and terms used around here?

That leads to a thread someone started for this purpose.
