GEForce 5700LE vs ATI graphics

I'm running the NVidia card in my system and while it's decent I can only do SVideo to my TV set. The TV has component inputs which I use for my DVD player right now but was wondering if I switched over to an ATI card which has the ability to convert the DVI output to component if I'd get an improvement worth the expense of changing out the graphics card. If it would give any marked level of improvement, what ATI card should I look at?

It would probably be an improvement, definitely a big one if you have an HDTV.

As for which card, I'd say the Geforce 6600

Does the geforce 6600 support component. I've read that some do but trying to get some kind of comparison to what the svideo looks like on a SDTV set.

Figure if I've got the component inputs to my set I might as well use them. I've heard some references to 480i output to from these cards using component output.

Some 6600s support component out, or more correctly, some come with the required adapter to use it. According to Chapter 7 of the Forceware user's guide, 480i is supported. And I remember on member here commented it was a huge improvement going from (IIRC) S-Video to Component on his Radeon.

I've used this solution on a 50inch LCD HDTV with great results without spending to much. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...125-141&depa=0 and then et this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61396&item=5748259421&rd=1
