new pvr 150
I've had my prv150 for a week now (circuit city). I just downloaded Sagetv trial today. I got it running but the remote won't change the channels. It changes channel numbers on the Sage screen but not on my dishnet 301.013 ird (did work on win2000 but flaky). Remote volume works. Any one help me on this?
Thanks edit: Biostar M7NDC pro, WinXP pro SP1, AMD2500, 512ram, fx5200 vid card Last edited by ascv; 01-30-2005 at 06:37 PM. |

You are trying to use the 150's IR blaster to change the channel on the converter? Page 197 of the v2.1 manual has a short blurb about that. Perhaps describe what you've done to configure the blaster & maybe someone who is using one can make a suggestion.

Yep, the blaster that came with the 150. I got it configured with hauppauge's stuff for wintv2000. Sent Hauppauge tech support an email asking for help with this remote. Here is their response.
"This issue may actually be related to the WinTV hardware rather than the software. Our engineers are currently investigating this issue trying to come up with a solution. As soon as we have a solution we will post it to the website." So I thought I'ld try SAGE and see if the remote would work here. I cannot turn channels manually (mouse) or with the remote. But the numbers do change on the screen ( but the channel stays the same). I have updated irremote, and irblaster from Hauppauge. They do work with wintv2000 for about an hour then it disappear. Volume up and down work. Will check page 197 right away. thanks |

The issue Hauppauge may have been referring to was where the remote simply stops working after some period of time & it won't restart until the PC is rebooted. See PVR-150 Remote Initialization Failed for that info & a link to a thread about it on SHS's forum in post #5. I don't know if this has anything to do with what you describe, or if Hauppauge meant something else.

I maybe wrong here but didn't v2.1 not come with HCWIRBlaster.dll to allow for this Opus4? or did jeff add it.

The 15 day trial version (downloaded yesterday) I have has the HCWIRBlaster.dll in the sagetv\common folder. But the RemoteCodes\Hauppauge IR Blaster folder is empty. Is this my problem? Should their be a *.ir files there?
Edit: Also can't turn channels with the mouse either. |
