External Tuning

Currently I am using a MyBlaster via the Exetuner plugin and Heremote. While I'm generally happy with this setup I do have concerns. I'm wondering if a USB Uirt would operate any differently.

I can't run in service mode with the Myblaster, Heremote crashes when changing channels. I'm asuming this would not be the case with the USB Uirt?

When I select a channel to change to, the video momentarily freezes, ungracefully. Then the current channel continues for a moment while I see the STB changing to the desired channel. Is this any different with the USB Uirt? I'm specifically hoping that the video frezze will not occur.

I was able to tweak Heremote to have the channel changes happen pretty darn quickly. I'm wondering if the USB uirt will be able to have all delays tweaked out for as quick as possible changes?

I was able to make my USB-UIRT much faster after changing some parameters but I still wouldn't call it quick. But maybe I am spoiled by just watching live TV straight off the cable box and changing channels there.
