3d accelleration

Sorry that i am posting this question because i know i have seen the answer here before but can't seem to find it anymore. I am using version 2.2 and can't enable 3d accelleration--i need to update something...but what?

I think so. Should i check out the other link that talks about the quartz.dll that needs to be replaced (or something like that)?

Since your on the topic, Im running Sage 2.1 and direct X9 and also cannot check 3D acceleration.. What are benefits of having it checked?

you cannot use VMR9 without 3d acceleration being enabled

If one happens to be using Overlay (not VMR9) what are the pros and cons of using 3D accelleration?

I can't really think of any benefits, but one con would be that you loose partial transparency with overlay.

On my settings I have VMR9 selected and my 3d is disabled. Am Im just really using the overlay then?
