Hi all,

I've just installed my Kworld DVD Maker with the 2388x chip and cannot get any picture out of it in SageTV - it keeps saying "Source being used for live TV: False"

Help!

Joel

Now it is saying "There was a null object requested to play back"

This is after completely removing the drivers for the hardware, Sage and reinstalling both.

the card works fine with the nasty little program that comes on the CD.

I don't know this for sure, but I'll take a stab at it...

I suspect that you probably are talking about this: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...441&CatId=1425 which is a software encoder and not supported by Sage. The model tech support was probably refering to was this: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...507&CatId=1425 which is a hardware encoder.

Either way Sage doesn't support a software encoder...

Yeah that is the model I got - looks like I need to take it back and get HW coding - shame cause it has a nice chip for the money. As for th esecond link you posted there, that's not even a Kworld board - but I get your point.

Thanks

Yeah I know it wasn't... I just could understand why support would have said the Kworld was supported when the only make hardware Tuner boards, not hardware DVD capture boards....
