Issues reconnecting to serial port on startup

There have been times that I have had to close sage, only to restart it agin and not being able to change channels. It will change the first channel but after that will stay on the same channel no matter what channel I change it to.

After a few restarts of the sage program it finally will work.

Has anyone have this issue, if so what is the fix.
