sagetv and mce2005

i was wondering if anyone knew the picture quality of mce2005 compared to sagetv, this would be using a pvr-150mce

I use both sage and MCE with my pvr 250 & 350.
If your talking about using you video card to output the video, and you use the the same decoders on both sage and MCE, there will be no diff from what I see.

its all about the video card and decoders

That's not exaclty true... MCE uses a much better methos for displaying the video than Sage. If you've got a really powerful graphics card then there will be not difference. But on any "normal" card MCE might perform better.

i meant the picture coming into the computer thru the pvr-150

The picture quality is in no way affected by the operating system. And the drivers are the same for both so that's not an issue either.

All the encoding is done with the hardware chip built onto the PVR 150, so no matter what program used the recorded quality is the same.
