Hollywood Plus

I am using a Hollywood Plus card and the RealMagic DVD player software that came with it to play back my recorded shows on an older system. (I use my main system to record using the Webserver plugin created by nielm because I like the interface better that the SageTV one) What I would like to do is edit the pages in the Webserver and add a link that will play a recorded show in the RealMagic DVD player on the other machine. Basically I need to send commands to the player remotely over the network. I can modify the java pages to add the link. But figuring out a way to send the commands to the other system and have it load the desired mpeg file I selected from the web browser is stumping me.

All the buttons on the RealMagic DVD player software respond to using an Alt + key combination except the "Open File" button. Also, you can't associate files with the player and have it open them automatically, for some reason it won't load them that way. The player gets hung up. Are there any other ways to play the mpeg files using the Hollywood card and another player (besides SageTV), or is there a way to remotely manipulate the RealMagic DVD Player. I am starting to user AutoIt, but haven't gotten very far with it.
