pvr-350, UI's great, no video!
So close, yet so far...
For some odd reason, I can't seem to get video out to my tv working with Sage. It shows up fine on my monitor, and the UI shows up on the TV, but no video, just blackness. If I run WinTV 2000 (under XP on a Dell, using the integrated video out) everything seems to work fine. But again, within Sage, I can't get any live TV to display. I've tried about every variation of the datil setup under the sun, but with no success. Am I missing something simple here? Why would WinTV work and Sage not? Any insight greatly appreciated! Brett |

Under detailed setup-->Multimedia you need to have enabled-
Enable tv out for pvr-350 and Enable UI on TV out of Pvr 350 and to be safe enable hardware decoding only. That shouldn't matter but it can get a little confusing. As long as you have those first two set it should work regardless of any other settings IIRC. Also be sure what you're trying to play is something that was recording with the card or live tv just to be sure you're not trying to play something incompatible with the card. peace . . . Quote:

All checked, no prgress :(
Thanks for the advice.
>Enable tv out for pvr-350 is on >and >Enable UI on TV out of Pvr 350 is also on >and to be safe >enable hardware decoding only. I've tried both. The only change this makes is killing the video which is playing back through the monitor. Nothing changes on the television. Eek. All this, and season 4 of 24 start tonight! With the settings, as above in Sage, the only thing showing up on the tv is the UI. The UI looks nice, but live TV would really put it over the edge! Anything else that might be causing the problem? I'm stumped! Brett |

Well at least you're able to record it and/or watch it with WinTV. You can leave 'hardware decoding only' either way.
I've had a pvr-350 for a long time but I've not had this sort of problem with it (or Sage). So you can watch tv on your monitor right? So the files are being recorded. This is strange. Hopefully SHS or some of the other experts will have an idea. peace . . . Quote:
