Videos and Music Irremote commands
I noticed in the Irremote.ini file for the Hauppauge 350 remote that TV, Videos, and Music can be set for [SageTV] to these commands...
TV={ctrl}v VIDEOS={ctrl}{shift}v MUSIC={ctrl}{shift}j TV works fine on the remote, but Videos and Music do not do anything. Are these the correct commands to get to Videos and Music in SageTV or are there other commands I should be aware of in a default list available from SageTV? Thanks. |

Is that from the irremote.ini file I posted for the new Hauppauge remote? If so, see the readme.txt file included in the zip file & it will tell you how to configure those commands in Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Link command. (The 45-button remote is new & SageTV isn't automatically set up to use it yet.)

I reviewed your posts on the Hauppauge remote issue primarily due to issues I am having with losing focus coming out of pause. So this is probably related. I am going to dig into the SageWake app I noticed tonight.
To be honest I didn't notice any instructions on editing the SageTV commands, but I will scan the thread again. I see the need to get these 3rd party tweaks into Sourceforge mainly as a way for all to know the most recent release(s) and documentation. Reading threads to figure this stuff out makes it tough, but I must say the end result when achieved is rewarding. Thanks. Last edited by julesjohn; 01-07-2005 at 11:27 PM. |

Thanks Opus. I am getting closer. I have enabled the SageWake application and yes I didn't have the Sendmsg() ini that I thought I had. So now that I have that, SageTV does not give back focus to my 45 button Hauppauge remote after pressing the grnpower button to take it out of sleep. So it does put it to sleep fine. I am watching the focus on my monitor and it doesn't matter if it has focus or not...remote doesn't regain it.
My path is correct and the same as you had it. Any ideas or questions as far as my configuration? Thanks for the help... |

Ok I just might have this working now. What I did was copy the entire [SageTV] commands over the entire [Default] list. Just seemed logical as I don't use the remote for anything other than SageTV right now.
So that said I am interested how else I could use my 45 button Hauppauge remote for apps you show in the ini like Media Player, and others. Also it might be helpful to provide an ini that is just for users using their 45 button remote for SageTV only. This would remove all the other unused lines. I say this as coming out of sleep prior to my fix above I believe it was stuck at Default. Anyway thanks for the help. |

Were you sleeping in full-screen screen saver mode? If so, that's the issue & I think it was covered in my Hauppauge link #3, above & below this post. I don't run SageTV that way, so that one confused me for quite some time. I just sleep it in the system tray & it is much easier to control that way (for me).

Yes I was and still am. It is working ok now. But I am actually loading in full screen. I didn't see an option of where to sleep just where to load.
