Channel Scan - Not scanning

I recently picked up SageTV with Hauppauge PVR 500 card.

I got everything setup and went to do a channel scan. It sat there, and sat there. So I eventually went to bed. I woke up and the channel scan window was still sitting there. I'm assuming this means it didn't do anything It did respond immediately when I told it to cancel/close however so the program wasn't hanging.

The only thing I can think of is that it might be a problem with my cable setup. I have digital cable, but my personal cable for my room does not have the cable box. So I do not get the full 900+ channels only 1-78 (or so).

Any suggestions or ideas?
