Problem with Hauppauge TV (PVR-USB2)
I just got SageTV 2.1 and a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2. I've set everything up, but half the buttons on my remote don't seem to work. It'll stop, pause, play, etc, but the arrow keys don't work. Some of the other keys work, some do not. I was thinking that this could be a problem with the Hauppauge software not sending data correctly to Sage, since the IR is in the Hauppauge box, not under its own COM port. I was thinking about buying a FireFly remote, but I wanted to know if this was a common problem or if there's anything that can be done to fix it.
Thnx |

Did you check the box to install support for the Hauppauge remote when you installed SageTV?
Oh: Is this the new 45-button Hauppauge remote? If so, the defaults that get set in irremote.ini (in your Windows dir) during SageTV installation are not meant for the new remote. See my Hauppuge links in my sig lines: A) post 3 in link #1 to send keys & only control SageTV whenit has focus, or B) see post 15 in link #3 to send event codes to control SageTV even when it doesn't have focus. Be sure to get the file(s) appropriate for your remote & I also included an image showing the button layout I assigned. - Andy
