Compression Artifacts from Live TV

In a side by side comparison of live analog TV vs my MCE 150 I am getting compression artifacts (just slightly blocky) with the MCE 150 in SageTV. Is there any way to reduce this? I was sorta hoping for a better image quality.

I am using the Nvidia Codecs. Thanks in advance.

Increasing video quality fixed the problem. However...this might be an issue for new "users" Is it possible that a new "feature" could be added to help the user make the image look as good as possible on the screen while still selecting the lowest quality needed. Sorta like the A or B when you are at the eye doctor. Just a suggestion Otherwise...getting better

Ugh...okay. I thought all was good but the actual recorded TV looks gritty. Then after watching a recorded episode the live TV looks gritty again. Quality is set to best and I am using the nVidia codec. Is there something I am missing? Very depressing right now. So many highs and lows with trying to get the bugs worked out =/

A few more details. It seems to come and go... Sometimes it is crystal clear and other times it is fairly pixelated. I have also seen some tearing when watching some shows. Any clues?

Maybe there's a signal strength/quality issue on the incoming cable?

What parts are pixelated -- everything, or fast-motion scenes? If only some scenes, try bumping up the recording quality some more.
