Pinnacle PCTV deluxe remote control

Hello

I have pinnacle PCTV deluxe USB 2.0 .... it is coming with built in IR receiver and remote control ....

I am just wondering ..... Can I use those component with Sage tv ( without buying any extra receiver or etc ) ????

if I should buy something ....what is the cheapest way to use my remote controller with sage tv ??

Apart from not knowing anything about whether that tuner will work wth SageTV (it isn't listed on the SageTV System Requirements page), whether you can use the remote depends on whether it can be configured to control other applications. SageTV won't use it directly, so you'll have to see how/whether its own software can be configured.

If its own software can't be configured to control other apps, you could see if there is a Girder plugin for that receiver.

I'm pettey sure that Broadcom Kfir-II BCM7040 is not support so there for Pinnacle PCTV Deluxe USB 2.0 is not going to work rigth and as for IR unless IR software can be run by it self like the Hauppauge IR32 dose where we can mod an INI file for Keyboard shortcut so if you can't do this then your pettey much out of luck with it.

I do not have that much exprience but.....

as I read the Manual of this item ... it can be setted according to what you want !

I think I can use it with this software !

I will be glad if you will be able to read it quickly and confirm it whether it can work with Sage TV .....
