Xcard Help Anyone?
I currently have sagetv setup with 150/mce card, i used use the nvidia decoder for video. I purchased an xcard. Im having some problems.
1. if i select the xcard for the decoding live tv i only get audio 2. dvd playback is stretched to full screen when it should be letterbox. with the xcard media player the dvd plays fine. Can anyone shoot me some sugguestions

In the setup under Video you chosse Sigma Designs MEGP-2 hardware decoder and Audio need to be set to default.
Are you try play back on the PC Monitor?. The Xcard will not work rigth with store bough DVD unless there rip with out CSS carp but home made disc should work fine.

Which tv out are you using? If you are using the component out, it might be trying to send it to the composite. Although, I don't know why it would work for dvd but not tv.

Closes SageTV start Xcard Media Player go to config part and set it up the way you want it then test it then close the Xcard Player after you ever thing the way you want it then sage should reuse the thoses setting when decoder driver start the Xcard.

Ok, im about to quit on sagetv its very frustrating. i have setup everything you told me SHS i only here audio on live tv the tv pic is red all red.
I'm using composite/svideo out on the xcard. Sigmas xplayer plays dvds fine with no issues so i know its not a driver issue or a card issue. I have even reinstalled my OS and have only installed sigma as my decoder.

Xmedia Player is closed when you use SageTV, right?
How does a SageTV recording look if you ignore the Xcard & play it back through SageTV on your monitor? (You'll have to select a software deocoder.) Alternately, how does a SageTV recording look when played back through the XMedia Player? (Essentially, I'm wondering if the show is recorded correctly in the first place.) - Andy

Ok i fixed the issue with live tv, but the one with dvd playback on sage is still flaky, it will play all letterbox dvds at full screen.
I also tried to play dvds with windows media player and had the same issue in windows media player there is an option for the xcard i chose letterbox and it resolved. so i still have the problem with sagetv anyone know of any other dvd players work with the xcard like powerdvd or win dvd.
