FYI: Seagate Rebates wrongly rejected
Just in case anyone else around here has taken advantage of any recent Seagate HD rebates: you may want to check the status of your rebate online (there should be a link with the rebate form, or try here). I just saw that one was rejected because of a non-retail version serial number. When I called to get it straightened out, the guy commented that they have been having problems with Seagate serial numbers & then confirmed the rebate. So, if you're still waiting on any rebates, go check them out.

Thanks for the tip! I checked and one of my rebates is also invalid because "Serial number submitted is not a Seagate retail hard drive serial number". I'll give them a call to get it cleared.
