Hello all,

I'm looknig at the different software packages out there, and have a few questions I was hoping to get answer.


1. I like the way Meedio has set up the My Movie area. Can I structure the same format?

A. Create a button on the main menu just for my Media server.
B. Create Sub categories Action, SCI-FI, Romance, Etc....
C. Have thumbs of the covers of my DVDs.

I Have down loaded Beyond, Meedio, and Sage. I how easy it is to add plugg-in's with Beyond, I like the My movie section for Meedio, but I love the over all feel of Sage.

I hope someone could give me some direction here.

B and C are relatively easy, you just create a structure like this on your server:

Z:\Movies (contains Movies
inside that you put
Z:\Movies\Action
Z:\Movies\SCI-FI
etc
and in those you put your movies, they will then show up just like that in the Imported Videos section of SageTV. For Covers, you just put a folder.jpg (IIRC, you'd want to search or check the manual) and it will display that for each folder.

Now A is a little tricker. There's no way to modify the SageTV STV (basically UI definition file) without Studio (the app used to create the entire UI). However some users (neilm) have created their own STVs that use XML files to define the layout so with those you could create a button on the main menu that would link to the Imported Videos section.
