nVTV dual MPEG-2 card does not work, have graph that does.
I recently obtained an nVidia nVTV dual MPEG-2 card because I was tired of waiting for the PVR-500 MCE card.
Anyways, it doesn't seem to work with any of the independent DVR programs, SageTV included. It is strictly a MCE type card. I have however made a render graph for it work with GraphEdit. http://files.sputnickonline.com/data/nvtv2.GRF http://files.sputnickonline.com/data/nvtv2.pdf I found some references to the MCE standard on MSDN so I think that Microsoft has publish how the cards works. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/m...rcardsreq.mspx I hope that helps, Nathan Brown |

Any progress been made on this front? I too recently got a hole of one...
The picture quality seems to be better than the PVR-150 I compared it to. Cheers, Last edited by travisbell; 03-19-2005 at 07:43 PM. |

Interesting because the samples that my fellow staff memeber Nintari has at HTPCnews show very poor image quality compared to a PVR-250. And the PVR-150 has slighty better PQ then the 250. The problem from what I read is that NVIDIA did something really stupid with the drivers. They basically made it MCE only. http://forums.snapstream.com/vb/show...8&postcount=11
I bet that graph you made is recording to DVR-MS format (MCE's proprietary format) and not pure MPEG2. If you swap out the decoders for a dump filter you can record it to disk. Out of curiosity if you right-click on the one simply titled "NVTV" in the graph and get its' properties you should see a window similar to the picture in the attachment, what stream types are listed there?
