PVR-250 and "ivac Driver not Found"

Hi
I have been reading these boards for a few weeks as I have set up my Sage system. Everything has been going pretty well except for the errors I have made but yesterday my hard drive went south so I had to reload the OS. I was going along pretty well until the installation of the PVR 250 MPEG drivers where I recieved the "ivac drivers not found error." A Google search of the error turns up a few things like installing the latest version of DX9 which I did and not much else except to make sure that the card is seated properly. I have not moved the card and it was working just fine before a reload of WIN 2000. When the computer reboots it is recognized and prompts for installation. Has anyone seen this error before and how to fix it. Thanks

I am running an AMD 1.2 GHz
ABIT KT-7 with VIA chipset - WIN 2000
ATI 9200 - Sound Blaster Live
180 GB Hitachi Hard drive
Sage TV version 2.1

Did you do both steps for driver installation? Install from the inf file and then run the exe file?

I ran the installation from the Sage TV disc that I have. It is what I did originally.

I've never installed SageTV from a disc. I've always downloaded it Sage's website. How did you get Sage on a disc? Maybe they send you it when you a hardware bundle on the webiste?

You need to install the drivers in addition to Sage. Go to the Hauppauge site to get th drivers:

http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/suppo...vr250-350.html

Get these 3 files:

HCWCLEAR
pvr250_22_inf.zip
pvr250_22_22292.exe

Run hcwclear, then reboot. Then update the drivers for the 250 from the inf files, and then run the exe.

zz5, I did get the Sage disk in a bundle and it worked the initial time. The inf file did the trick. Thanks a lot for the tip.

Your really don't need install pvr250_22_22292.exe unless you going used Hauppauge IR32 and want to use Hauppauge MPEG decoder.
