Virtual Memory Usage

Is Sage supposed to be a memory hog? I've been diagnosing excessive paging on my XP workstation and looking at Sage, I was shocked when I saw it was using almost 500mb (.5 gig!) of Virtual memory. Granted, this is not PHYSICAL memory, but it is memory mapped to DLLs, etc. No other process on my machine had NEAR this much. Even IE only had 100mb. Is this normal?

It also had 60mb of private memory allocated.

Seems like an awful lot for a process that is supposed to be sleeping most of the time...
