Sage TV Remote Client on Mac OS?
Since Sage is written in Java, how difficult would it be to port the Remote Client to Mac OS X?
Is this something that is likely to ever happen? Paul |

Hmm.. I just did a search and found another topic that basically says that it's not likely.
With Apple known for being a "Media" computer (what with all the advanced video, and graphics applications) I would think that it would be a natural fit for something like Sage, especially with it written in Java.. Of course, they probably make use of a good number of Windows-specific calls in Sage that would have to be mapped to appropriate Mac routines... I actually don't own a Mac, yet. I never thought I would, until I recently saw one running Mac OS X and got a short guided tour from a technical friend of mine. It's a really elegant OS... I've messed with Linux before, but I don't really feel like I should have to virtually strap-on a toolbelt every time I want to do something... With OS X, the Unix side is there if you want or need it, but otherwise you can handle most things via the GUI. (Of course, that's from what I've read and not experience...) Paul |
