HELP! Sound quitting mid song / End Padding
Anybody having this problem or know how to fix??
During music playback on v2.1.10 the sound dies about 2/3 through the song. It does seem to fade out like the song is over but timeline shows plenty left to go. If I rewind it starts back just fine, but then dies at about the 9/10 point. Again if I rewind or FF one notch everything plays fine. Update... I just looked at some more details... Sage TV actually seems to be adding padding to the end of evrery song it plays. WTF?? Go your own way reports at 3:38 in WMP but in SageTV it is reporting 5:something. Any / All help would be appreciated. Thanks BUB |

Very likely the mp3 is VBR. SageTV only works right with CBR mp3's. It will report the wrong length for VBR music files. Because of this there will be a long pause before it changes to the next file also (as it counts down the remainder of the time it thinks the file should be played before moving on to the next one).
This problem with VBR has been around for a long time. I don't know when/if it will ever be fixed. |

That was it. Variable Bit Rate is no good. I re-ripped all my songs to Constant Bit Rate and all plays ok.
Thanks for the Help. BUB |
