Editing IR files
I have a SA 4200 - i use a ir file I grabbed from someone here and most numbers work except for "7" ...When it tries to xmit a 7 it sends about 6 - 7's to the box...I have a little prog from Jon at usbuirt to get the codes from my remote (sage wont learn my remote) - I added a "select" key before by cutting and pasting into the IR file and it didnt work for a while and then all the sudden it worked...Is there a way to make it recognize it immediately? (sorry for the longwindedness)

Are you simply asking how to get SageTV to use your updated IR file after you edit it? Try exiting & restarting SageTV; if you are using the service, stop & restart the service too.
