Remotes question with SAGE

What stand alone remote (non-Hauppage related) works with the SAGE interface, can be plugged in via USB (reciever) and is IR based so I can learn those commands to my learning remote and my JP1 remote for integration with my HT???

The simpler, the better. The Hauppage is great, but looks like if I upgrade to a PVR-500, I loose the remote, if I add a PVR 150, I get remote conflicts. DOesn't the 150 COME with a new remote?

I think the StreamZap is what you're looking for.

I'll look into it. I don't mind adding an application for the remote as long as its as simple as the Hauppauge to set up and use. IR makes it learnable and copiable with my master remote control.

The Streamzap app is actually far simpler than the hauppauge one, there's only 4 buttons you can change.

Of course what you may want to do is get a USB-UIRT and just use your JP1 directly. I think Andy (Opus4) has info on using JP1 remotes with Sage. This is actually the way I'd go since you don't plan on actually using the remote you get.

That sounds good.

How big are these USB-UIRTS? I ask because I have my SAGE BOX as I call it in my entertainment center, in fact I bought a very nice case for it (see sig) and modified the LCD display on the case to house the IR reciever of the Hauppauge remote. As you can imagine there is little room. (I had to cut down the IR reciever to about 2/3 it's original size. When I use my remote, I just aim at the window on the case. Very slick. (no exteranl wires)

Oh well, maybe it wond be so bad...

You could probably take apart a UIRT and mount it in your case if you wanted
