Hi All:

I just recently decided to build my own PVR using SAGE. I have to say the sellout that TIVO has agreed to starting next year allowing "pop-up" commercials during skipping of other commericials was the "straw that broke the camel's back" so to speak. Anyway I wanted to post a very special thank you to everyone that has posted on this board; so far I have been able to find every answer I might have had related to the setup and tweaking of SAGE and related issues. I hope to become knowledgeable enough to help other noobs as questions arise, but I gotta say the search feature works wonders

Wow... that was an easy one to answer!

I'll add my welcome! Depending on how you go Sage makes TIVO look like tinker toys compared to sky scrapers. Others have "more badder" Sage setups than me but mine kicks any TIVO or multiple TIVOs butts. Currently running 5 tuners, 1.5TB redundant RAID5 with online spare Sage Server storage etc. You can't do that with TIVO! Whole house can loose power and Sage Server can keep going for an hour and a half even (mungo battery backup )
