Radeon DNA drivers
http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=898
Has anyone experimented with using these drivers with SageTV? They are 'hacked' versions of the ATI Catalyst drivers and are supposed to be optimized for better 3D rendering and FPS. They are geared towards gaming, but I don't see why they wouldn't be better for Sage too, at least if you are using one of the supported video cards. I won't be home until Sunday, so I can't install them till then, but if anyone else has tried them out, maybe you can save me the trouble of installing them if they aren't good... The only thing that I think might be an issue is the TV-Output. Since they are designed with gamers in mind, it is likely that they did not pay too much attention to any TV-Out issues, so it may end up being a bust... |

I have been using Angel "Omegadrive" Trinidad's Omega Drivers for some time with my ATI cards. They are very stable and include integrated OC utilities.
Check them out at http://www.omegadrivers.net/ |

Well, I installed the DNA drivers today, and I think they have improved my PQ just a bit. It's definately no worse than it was with the ATI drivers.
In case you're wondering, I am running SDTV on a composite output (yeah I know, I need a new TV...) off an Asus Radeon 7000, Overlay, Sonic Decoders through FFdshow. I uninstalled the ATI drivers, rebooted, and then installed the DNA drivers. Everything went smoothly, no problems, no errors. |
